The average temperature in  the Amazon Basin is 82°F (27.8°C), with days slightly higher and lows in the upper 60s (19°C).

During the dry season (May-October), cold  fronts from the South Atlantic (freajes) can occur monthly,  causing temperatures to drop into the mid to high 50s (14°C).   Rainfall is most common during the wet season from November-April.
