DAY 01: ARRIVAL – LIMA.
Reception and welcome at the “Jorge Chavez” International Airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Lima. (Consider that if your flight arrives in the morning, you will have to wait to enter the hotel room from 1300 hrs)

DAY 02: COLONIAL & MODERN CITY TOUR
In the morning we will begin the city tour of Lima. We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid” a magnificent, ceremonial, and archeological center built in the fourth century AD and considered “holy town” by the Incas.

Then we visit the Historic Center of Lima, where we appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighted by the Paseo de la Republica, San Martin Square, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop Palace, the Cathedral, City Hall and others.

We then visit the CENTRAL RESERVE BANK* museum , where we can appreciate the “Collection Treasures of Peru”, a fine selection of gold objects, ceramics and textiles of diverse pre-Columbian cultures. In addition we can appreciate the monumental complex of San Francisco,which is the largest exhibition of religious art in America. Highlighted by the visit to its underground crypts known as “Catacombs”. Overnight in Lima.

OBS. Museo del Banco Central de Reserva, closed to public Saturday & Sunday afternoon. Monday closed all day.

DAY 03: LIMA / CUSCO – CITY TOUR + 04 RUINS
Transfer to airport for flight to Cusco. Reception, start City tour and visit the surrounding archaeological sites, including the main square, the Cathedral, Koricancha which was a military and religious center of the Inca Empire, and was dedicated to its main God the Sun, Tambomachay (Inca Baths), Puca Pucara (military control center), Kenko amphitheater (evidence of mystical character of those times) and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 04: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – DEPARTURE to Aguas Calientes
We will begin the excursion to the Sacred Valley, where we will have the opportunity to know the typical terracing of the Inca era and villages of Pisac and its colorful indian market, Calca, Yucay, Urubamba. Lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Ollantaytambo an enormous Inca complex of administrative, agricultural and religious functions. Here you can see great rock walls, temples and palaces. Prompt departure by train to Aguas Calientes, the trip takes about 2 hrs. Assistance tohotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 05: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU
Very early (0500 hrs) you can climb to Machu Picchu to enjoy the beautiful sunrise or if you wish and have physical stamina, you can climb to Huayna Picchu”Young Mountain” from where It has a spectacular view of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. At 11:00 hrs you will meet the guide to take the guided tour of Machu Picchu. This citadel remained unknown for centuries until 1911, when it was accidentally discovered by Hirman Bingham. This Inca Center is one the greatest wonders of the world. The guided tour of the archaeological site of Machu Picchu includes passage through the urban sector which houses the largest architectural elements of the Inca city and its main campuses, the Sun Temple, the Intiwatana, group of the sacred rock, temple of the three windows , mausoleum, etc. Buffet lunch at Sanctuary Lodge (only hotel in the citadel) so you can have the option to return to enjoy the citadel of Machu Picchu until the afternoon to take the bus back to town to board the train back to Cusco. Reception & transfer to hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
